This is a well made 20g semi-auto. It has a 25 1/2" x 3" barrel with a full set of recessed chokes and a highly figured, 14 1/4" walnut stock & fore-end. It comes in its maker's case with chokes/choke key etc.

These are 'best' grade guns, built circa 1930. They have gold numbers 1 & 2 inlaid on the top ribs and the heel of both stocks. These guns have been fully restored and although both stocks are lengthened in wood, the workmanship is outstanding. Both guns retain a fair amount of original colour hardening. They have 15" straight-hand stock, 28" barrels with 2 1/2" chambers.

They are in their maker's oak & leather case.

This is a pair of Zoli 20 bores, the Z Sport Extra models. They come with interchangeable 28g barrels, all four pairs of barrels are 32" multi choked. They have gold numbers 1 & 2 and are consecutively numbered. These guns are cased and have hardly been shot.

A fabulous pair of guns for knocking down the high ones.

This is a 'best' grade Martin boxlock that has 27" x 2 1/2" steel barrels. It has Southgate ejectors, a rocker safe, a full spindle lever system and third barrel grip. It has a highly figured, 14 1/8" walnut stock and the scroll backed action is beautifully engraved with fine rose & scroll. The stock is currently cast for the left shoulder, although built as a right-handed gun. The stock will be altered to the right-hand in with the cost of the gun, if required.

In its maker's case with trade label, a beautiful gun.

This 20g is within the last 100 guns that MacNaughton built. The gun has 27" x 2 1/2" barrels and a 14 1/2" highly figured straight-hand stock. It also retains a large amount of original hardening colour and has a rocker safety system and Southgate ejectors. Sadly, both bores are pitted, however with wall thicknesses of 30 & 32 Thou, this little gun will last more than a lifetime.

This gun comes in its velvet lined, violin style case with accessories.

This pair of Churchills are in fine condition and are the Crown models. They are fully engraved with the usual Churchill acanthus engraving and there is a gold crown inlaid on the underside of the action. These guns have had new 28" x 2 3/4" barrels made by the makers, in 2003. They have 15 1/2" straight-hand stocks which include leather covered pads. These guns are not too light, as they are 6lbs 4oz.

The guns are offered for sale in their maker's oak & leather case with accessories.

A superb pair of 20's.

This is a Shadow Indy Trap gun with a broad aluminium top rib. It has a manual safe, single trigger, ventilated top rib and fore-end wood with a blacked steel action with scroll engraving. It has a small bash on the top rib which has been repaired.

It is in good, original condition, it has fired a few shots but as we all know, these guns go on and on.

This Purdey was built circa 1885. It has just been nitro proofed to 2 3/4", it has 30" Whitworth steel barrels and a 14 1/2" straight-hand stock. The gun will open & close with the right lock cocked. The action & locks are engraved with Purdey's fine rose & scroll and this gun retains some original hardening colour. The stock and fore-end, although scratched and bashed, it hasn't never been renovated from new and unusually, it has not been oil stained. It has an Anson fore-end and a third locking grip to barrel.

The finest hammer gun that I have had in years.

This is a Charles Playfair of Aberdeen Hammer gun, which was built circa 1875. It has 30" x 2 3/4" Damascus barrels and a 14 3/8" straight-hand stock with toe & heel plates. It has non-rebounding locks, a Jones under-lever opening with a bolted fore-end catch and exceptionally clean woodwork free of oil stains etc.

This gun has been completely restored and is ready to shoot.

All-in-all it’s a good, reliable gun.

This is a 'best' grade Graham sidelock with Southgate ejectors. It has 25" x 2 1/2" barrels with a quick sighting Churchill rib. The action & locks are engraved with fine rose & scroll. This gun has been re-stocked at some point and has a rather ugly extension piece, at present. However this gun will scrub up rather nicely. Number two of a pair, semi pistol-gripped stock.

This is quite an unusual Belgian sidelever 28g, not dissimilar to the more common .410 version. The 28 1/4" steel barrel, which is octagonal then goes to round (if that makes any sense), has just been re-proofed to 2 3/4".

This is a spectacular and rare gun. It is the first single barrel that I have had which was built as an ejector, in that, there is an ejector mechanism in the fore-end, not be confused with the Rook rifle ejector system which ejects every time the gun is opened; whether it has been fired or not. This gun comes with two barrels, one is 27" x 2 3/4" chambers (Proofed at .615 and reads .624 with a minimum wall thickness of 60 Thou, gun weighs 5lbs 11oz) and the other is 28" x 2 1/2" chambers (This barrel is just about to be re-proofed and will be proofed at .630 with a minimum wall thickness of 45 Thou, gun weighs 5lbs 8 3/4oz) both barrels have full choke. The short top ribs reads 'Westley Richards & Co, London'. It has a highly figured 14 1/2" straight-hand stock and the fore-end has a Deeley catch.

This gun is a Holland & Holland Badminton. The action & locks are engraved with fine scroll. It has detachable locks by Chilton and Southgate ejectors. This gun was built circa 1915 and retains some original hardening colour. It has recently had the ribs lifted & re-laid, barrels polished & blacked and it's had the action & mechanism fully overhauled. It has 30" x 2 1/2" steel barrels and a 14 7/8" straight-hand stock which includes a buffalo horn extension piece. Offered in its case with accessories.

This is an early gun, built circa 1870. It has a Jones under-lever, re-bounding back-action locks. The locks are signed 'MacNaughton' and the top rib reads 'J MacNaughton, Edinburgh'. It has 28 1/2" Damascus barrels (probably shortened from 30") which have recently been nitro proofed. This gun has a 14 1/8" straight-hand stock with toe & heel plates.

All-in-all a good shooter.

This is a particularly rare gun, built with a single trigger and comes with two pairs of barrels. Built 1955 and has the patent number of 1904, must be within the last 10 Round action guns that Dicksons built. Both pairs of barrels are 27", one pair is chambered to 2 3/4" and has tighter chokes. The gun has a 14 5/8" one-piece, highly figured stock.

Extra barrel measurements are: gun weighs 6lbs 10oz, left proof is .719 reads .723 with 34 Thou & 1/2" choke. Right proof is .719 reads .725 with 34 Thou & 1/4" choke.

In truly fabulous condition.

This little gun was built circa 1895. The barrels have been sleeved and the locks, action trigger plate etc have been re-hardened. I will be overhauling the mechanics and the barrels have been re-engraved and re-blacked. It has 28" sleeved steel barrels and the stock length is 12 3/4", I will lengthen the stock in with the cost of the gun.

This gun was built circa 1910, it is number two of a pair and it's engraved with fine scroll & Scottish roped borders. The locks are made by Brazier and the gun is fitted with a Boss single trigger system. The 29" Chopperlump barrels were replaced in 1995, proofed in London with 2 3/4" chambers. The mechanism is partly gilded and the action retains a fair amount of original hardening colour. It has a 14 3/4" straight-hand stock, which includes a leather covered recoil pad.

A beautiful Edinburgh built sidelock.

This gun was built circa 1950 and is one of the famous Ribless Martins. It has a 15" straight hand stock which includes a wooden extension piece; the stock also has panels and drop points. The gun is engraved with fine scroll. It has Southgate ejectors and a full spindle lever system with a concealed third grip. This gun has 28" steel barrels with 2 1/2" chambers.

There were only 139 Ribless guns built.

This gun retains the majority of its original colour hardening and it has a Holland & Holland in-laid in gold on the lock plates. It has a manual top safe, detachable trigger plate action and it has a 15 3/8" semi pistol-gripped stock.

This gun comes in its original motor case with outer canvas cover.

This fabulous game gun was built on 1974, it's engraved with fine scroll, pointing dogs flushing game and some game scene all by L Lambert. The gun is fitted with a 15" swan-neck stock and has a three piece fore-end. It has 27 1/2" chopperlump barrels, choked 3/8 & 3/4, this gun weighs a fraction over 7lbs.

These are the finest Greener sidelocks that I have seen to date and they are supplied in their oak & leather case with green velvet lining.

The ball of the action is hand chased with delicate vine, leaf and floral work. The right lock is engraved with partridges, the left lock is engraved with pheasants in flight, the under-side of the action body is engraved with red grouse, there is also a pair of snipe engraved on the bow of the guard and a black cock is engraved on the top lever. You really have to examine these guns to appreciate just how fine they really are.

They have Southgate ejectors, gold cocking indicators, disc set strikers and the barrel is stamped with wrought steel and of course the mighty elephant trade mark.

These guns are just about to be overhauled. Given the weight of these guns and the choking of the barrels, these guns await the high pheasant technician.

These guns are in very clean condition, they have just been re-jointed, overhauled, barrels blacked etc. They have still to have the woodwork re-chequered and oil finished. They were built circa 1940 and have 28" chopperlump barrels with Boss's Albemarle Street, address. They have spindle lever systems, rocker safes and 15" straight-hand stocks.

Good, clean, reliable guns, if like me, they maybe the closest that you will ever get to a pair of Boss's.

These guns were built in the zenith period of Purdey gun making. They have been in one family from new and have just been fully restored. They have 29" x 2 1/2" chopperlump, Whitworth, fluid pressed steel barrels with flat top ribs and dark highly figured 14 3/4" stocks. The actions and locks retain about 20% original hardening colour. Although the left tubes are just below 20 thou, they will last a lifetime.

These guns are totally original and come in their maker's oak & leather case with accessories and outer canvas cover.

This is a fairly new rifle proofed in 2006, it comes with a 6x42 Schmidt & Bender scope and it has a highly figured stock; just been stripped & cleaned.

This little gun has just been overhauled, furniture polished & blacked. It has an Anson fore-end, full spindle lever system and a rocker safe. The gun has a 15" straight-hand stock, cast for the left and the triggers are also swept for the left, this could easily be converted. It has 26" steel barrels and 2 1/2" chambers.

This is a very clean example of an AYA 25 boxlock. It has a 13 7/8" straight-hand stock with 25" x 2 3/4" chopperlump steel barrels with a narrow quick sighting rib. It retains a fair amount of original colour hardening and opens & closes beautifully.

It has been stripped & cleaned and is ready for the coming season.

This is a beautifully built hammer gun which is top lever opening. It has 30" Damascus barrels with 2 3/4" chambers and a 14 3/8" straight-hand stock with toe and heel plates. The gun has WR Pape's patent engraved on the underside of the action and Pape's trade mark engraved on the bow of the guard. This gun will open & close with the right lock cocked.

This gun is just about to be overhauled.

This is one of Turner's famous lightweight guns with a skeletonised stock and toe & heel plates fitted to the butt end. It has a silver escutcheon plate fitted to the heel of the stock. This is a well-made ejector BSA, black action engraved with scroll and game scene, it has Southgate ejectors and a full spindle lever system. It has a 14 3/8" straight hand stock and 28" barrels; made of Jessop's fluid pressed steel with 2 1/2" chambers.

There is a bash on the left hand chamber, which although unsightly, is perfectly safe and could be taken care of the next time the barrels are blacked.

A clean reliable gun.

This is quite an unusual gun, built by Iver Johnson, Fitchburg, MASS, USA. The 25 1/2" barrels have just been proofed in Birmingham to 3". It is top lever opening with an auto safe and a Deeley fore-end catch. This gun has 13 3/4" straight-hand stock and the best thing is that it's an ejector.

Although it is on the scruffy side, it will make a great shooter as it weighs 6lbs.

To be fair, this gun is a bit on the grubby side however, it is a 'best' grade gun with a full spindle top lever system and rocker safe. The gun was built with intercepting sears. It has been through the wars a bit; the fore-end has two or three chips on it. Stock length is 14 3/4" one piece, with 30" steel barrels.

I think that if you spent about £1000 on this gun you would have a spectacular Scottish boxlock at the end of it. Sadly, spending this money won't improve your shooting but would greatly enhance the appearance of your gun.

This is an AYA 25. It has detachable locks, 2 3/4" chambers and a raised Churchill rib with AYA inlaid in gold. The gun is in pretty much new condition. There are two small dents in the barrel which are nothing to worry about; probably best taken care of the next time the barrels require being blacked.

These beautiful guns were built circa 1910; they have 30" steel barrels with 2 1/2" chambers. They were re-proofed in London in 1998 and have highly figured 14 3/8" straight hand stocks with panels and drop points and small buffalo horn extension pieces. The actions are engraved with fine scroll and foliage detail. Both guns retain a large amount of original colour hardening. They have a full spindle lever system, rocker safes and Deeley box ejectors.

These guns are in their original, double, brass bound leather case with accessories.

Superb guns with long barrels and tight chokes; the preferred guns of the high bird technician.

This gun was built circa 1910 and comes in its canvas case with trade label. The gun has 28" x 2 1/2" steel barrels. The action is engraved with fine scroll with the word 'safe' inlaid in blue enamel. The action is fitted with intercepting sears. The downside is that at some point the woodwork has been re-chequered rather poorly and both bores are pitted.

A very nice quality little gun.

It is just about to have the action & mechanism fully overhauled and the furniture blacked, please note pictures are prior to overhaul.

I have just completely overhauled the action & mechanism and polish & blacked the barrels. It has a 14 1/8" straight-hand stock, the gun is border engraved and is in original condition. It has rebounding locks, a Hackett fore-end and top lever opening.

The gun opens and closes like new, all this for less than £1,000.

Built circa 1897, this is one of the Horton guns with the patented adjustable trigger system. This gun has a very ornate scroll backed action, it has fluted fences (not dissimilar to a Stephen Grant) and being a polygrip gun there is no screw in the top lever. The action is engraved with trailing foliage, bordered by foliate scroll work and there are also a few thistles engraved along with a lady's face on the top lever.
