It is the first single barrel that I have had which was built as an ejector, in that, there is an ejector mechanism in the fore-end, not be confused with the Rook rifle ejector system which ejects every time the gun is opened; whether it has been fired or not. This gun comes with two barrels, one is 27" x 2 3/4" chambers (Proofed at .615 and reads .624 with a minimum wall thickness of 60 Thou, gun weighs 5lbs 11oz) and the other is 28" x 2 1/2" chambers (This barrel is just about to be re-proofed and will be proofed at .630 with a minimum wall thickness of 45 Thou, gun weighs 5lbs 8 3/4oz) both barrels have full choke.  The short top ribs reads 'Westley Richards &amp; Co, London'. It has recently had the ribs lifted &amp; re-laid, barrels polished &amp; blacked and it's had the action &amp; mechanism fully overhauled.  It has 30" x 2 1/2" steel barrels and a 14 7/8" straight-hand stock which includes a buffalo horn extension piece.
