12g A&D ejector by A.C. Swan with 28" x 2 3/4" barrels
Now here is something quite interesting. A single trigger, box lock ejector inspired by A C Swan. It has 28″ x 2 3/4″ chopper lump barrels, the top rib of which reads, inlaid in gold, “A.C. Swan, GT Snoring, Norfolk, England”. Engraving on the action and cover-plate, etc. is a fruiting grapevine, beautifully created by Peter Cusack. “A.C. Swan, England” is also inlaid in gold on the cover-plate and around the top lever and the serial number is inlaid in gold on the rolled edged trigger guard. The foresight is made of rose gold, the action is scroll backed with a serpentine fence filed into the balls of the action and the end of the cover plate has fins, beautifully blending into the trigger plate. A wonderfully figured 14 1/2″ Prince of Wales stock has a vacant rose gold escutcheon plate and the gun is presented in its oak and leather case with named accessories. Having spoken to the owner, this gun is effectively new having only been shot once at a partridge day. It’s an incredibly impressive gun and the more you study it, the more there is to see. All-in-all an inordinate amount of care and attention has been put into the build of this fine shotgun. This will also fire standard steel without alteration.
