SOLD - 12g A&D ejector by John Dickson & Son - 29 x 2 1/2" barrels
This John Dickson & Son is a best grade box lock built in 1920. It has a full spindle lever system, rocker safe, Southgate ejectors and a third locking grip to the 29″ x 2 1/2″ steel barrels which still retain their original black. The engraving style is slightly showier than other guns I’ve seen and it may very well have been engraved by Harry Kell. The action, cover plate and guard are engraved with acanthus scroll and interlocking ornate scroll design. The 14 5/8″ stock along with the fore-end are completely original, have never been restored or rechequered. The furniture retains some original charcoal black and the action, trigger plate and fore-end iron retain 90% of their original hardening colour. You very seldom see guns in this condition. It comes in its original oak and leather case. Simply outstanding.
