SOLD – This is a magnificent live Pigeon gun by William Ford, built circa 1960. A true example of British craftsmanship, this exceptional gun is fitted with 32″ steel barrels, proved to handle 3″ magnum cartridges and choked full and full. The barrels have a beautifully tapered, engine-turned flat top rib, and read, “William Ford, 15 St Mary’s Row, Birmingham,” a signature of quality from this renowned Birmingham maker.

Scroll engraving on the action is a work of art, with intricate detailing, featuring a roosting pigeon on one side and a pigeon in flight on the other, perfectly capturing the essence of high-flying birds.   Side clips and a concealed square cross bolt are also present, for added strength and security, while the top safety is manual, ensuring safe handling.

The 15 1/4″ stock is crafted from fine wood, with elegant panels and teardrop accents, is finished with an engraved steel pistol cap and includes a 3/4″ recoil pad ensuring comfort during extended use. The gun is fitted with Southgate ejectors, known for their reliability and smooth operation.

At just 8lbs 6oz, this gun is very well balanced, making it an ideal choice for the high-bird technician who requires precision and responsiveness. Retaining over 95% of its original finish, the gun is in truly remarkable condition, having been meticulously cared for and showing minimal signs of use.
