SOLD - 12g back action sidelock ejector by Williams & Powell 28 x 2 3/4" barrels
This is a Williams & Powell back action sidelock, built circa 1895 and has been re-barrelled by Cogswell & Harrison. The 28″ barrels have been re-chambered to 2 3/4″ and re-proofed. The action and locks are engraved with particularly fine scroll work, with a vignette of black cock on the left lock and pheasants on the right. The gun is no.2 of a pair and is fitted with a Deeley box ejector system. All-in-all a particularly stylish looking gun with a 14 3/8″ highly figured stock. The gun comes in a Brady lightweight case. With a small alteration to the chokes this gun would be capable of firing standard steel cartridges.
