12g Hammer Gun by W Horton - 30 x 2 3/4" barrels
This is a plain gun by W Horton of 98 Buchanan Street Glasgow. The locks are signed “W. Horton”, the gun is border engraved with a feathered border around the lock plates. The locks are rebounding and the gun opens with a Jones rotary underlever. It has a 14″ stock and the fore-end is a Hackett snap on style and the 30″ steel barrels have been re-chambered and prooved to 2 3/4″. A good shooting gun for somebody and it only weighs 6 1/2 lbs. With the chokes reduce, it will fire standard steel. There is a small amount of historic rust damage on the outside of the barrels which has been blued over.
