12g hammer gun by Westley Richards with 30" x 2 1/2" damascus barrels
This is quite an interesting Westley Richards hammer gun built in the mid 1860’s and started off life as a pinfire. The non-rebounding locks are engraved with bold scrollwork. It has the Westley patent top lever and is their bar-in-wood crab joint gun. With a 14″ stock. The 30″ x 2 1/2″ damascus barrels have been re-prooved and have an incredible wall thickness of 37 thou, there is a few pit marks and imperfections, but with thicknesses like these, it’s good for another 100 years.
