12g over & under by Francotte - 28" x 2 3/4" barrels
Francotte was one of Belgium’s finest gun makers. This particular 12g over & under is in near new condition retaining all of its original finish. The action and locks are engraved with complex acanthus and floral scroll work over a matte background, along with fruit and grapevines; it really is a masterpiece of engraving. The gun has a 3 piece fore-end, a Deeley-style fore-end catch, the front trigger is articulated and the top safe is manual. The gun has a beautifully figured straight-hand 14 1/2″ stock which includes a Silver’s recoil pad. The gun has 28″ x 2 3/4″ barrels, has a matted ventilated tapering top rib and a vacant rose gold escutcheon plate. What a beautifully well balanced gun.
