12g Round Action by John Dickson & Son – 27 x 2 1/2″ barrels

This John Dickson round action was built in 1930 and is no.2 of a pair and was originally built for a local ship builder by the name of Alexander Kennedy. The gun has 27″ x 2 1/2″ chopper lump barrels and a 15″ straight-hand stock, with approximately 1″ wooden extension. The action and locks are engraved with fine rose and scroll, with “Dickson Patent” inlaid in gold on the underside of the action and the mechanism is gilded. It has been beautifully restored, barrels blacked, woodwork chequered and oiled, etc. and comes in a leather case with Dickson trade label. The barrels are clean and bright in the bore, with excellent wall thickness.
