Sold – 12g round action by John Dickson & Son – 27″ x 2 1/2″ barrels

SOLD – This beautiful, lightweight, round action was built in 1936 with chopperlump barrels measuring 27″ x 2 1/2″.  Engraving style on the action and locks is fine rose and scroll and the action retains a large amount of its original hardening colour.  The highly-figured stock measures 15″, including a 1″ leather covered pad, and this gun has a gilded mechanism.  A full mechanical overhaul has just been carried out including having furniture polished and blacked etc.  Presented in its original velvet-lined case with the original owners’ initials on the case lid and gold escutcheon plate.  Weighing only 6lbs 3oz, this would make a fabulous walked-up gun for someone.
