12g Round Action by John Dickson & Son - 28 x 2 3/4" sleeved barrels
This John Dickson round action was delivered in December 1896 and the barrels are now sleeved to 28″ with 2 3/4″ chambers. Engraved by Jack Sumner, fine scroll adorns the action and dandelions are chiselled into the balls of the action. Gold cocking indicators are fitted to the action and the beautifully figured, original stock measures 14 7/8″. Presented in its original maker’s case with trade label, this gun has just been fully overhauled, furniture polished and blacked and safety button blued. It was quite grubby inside, but there is little sign of any rust damage. Once again, it’s a beautiful gun that has never been got at. With a slight reduction to the chokes, this gun will fire standard steel cartridges.
