SOLD – 12g round action by John Dickson & Son – 29″ x 2 3/4″ barrels

SOLD – This beautiful round action is No. 1 of a pair and was built in 1909.  Newly sleeved barrels measure 29″ with 2 3/4″ chambers and, I may add, this is a beautiful job with laser welded seams, making them look like a new pair of barrels.  Engraving style on the action and lock is Dickson’s bold acanthus, which is in fabulous condition with a touch of colour hardening, and is very definitely the work of Jack Sumner.  The highly figured 14 5/8″ stock includes a 1/2″ buffalo horn extension piece.  Presented in a beautiful Dickson gun case with trade label and named accessories.  A beautifully balanced gun.  This gun will fire standard steel cartridges without alteration.
