12g Sidelock Ejector by James Purdey & Sons 30 x 2 1/2" barrels
This beautiful old gun by James Purdey was built circa 1895. It has 30″ x 2 1/2″ chopper lump fluid pressed steel barrels. Fine rose and scroll is engraved on the action, which retains a bloom of hardening colour. It has a replacement 15 1/8″ stock, beautifully stocked by a Purdey tradesman, currently cast for the left but will easily cast back for a right handed shooter. New triggers were made with a left hand bias, the original right hand triggers are in the gun case, which is oak & leather with trade label and charge guard, a striker pot with spare strikers, nipple wrench and turn screw; it also has it’s original key. A super old gun that’s been well maintained and never got at.
