12g sidelock ejector by Mortimer - 30" x 2 1/2" barrels
This fabulous Mortimer was built circa 1910 and is in beautiful condition. It retains about 75% of its original hardening colour, the action and locks are engraved with fine scroll and there are rebanded fences chiseled into the balls of the action. Top lever opening and Baker ejectors. It has a 15″ straight hand stock, including a 3/4″ Bakelite extension piece. It has 30″ x 2 1/2″ steel barrels the address on the top rib reads ” Mortimer & Son, 86 George St, Edinburgh” and the barrels have a third locking grip. It’s a real beauty, I don’t see many Mortimer sidelocks. In its case with trade label.
