12g sidelock ejector by John Dickson & Son - 28 x 2 3/4" barrels
This Dickson sidelock was built in 1970 and was one of ‘The Edinburgh’ models and is the newest Dickson sidelock I have seen to date. Interestingly, it is recorded in the records as having cost £600. It has 28″ steel barrels with their original chamber length of 2 3/4″. The gun has just been completely overhauled, which included having the ribs lifted and re-laid, barrels polished and blacked, action and mechanism fully overhauled with the furniture polished and blacked. The gun has Chilton locks which, along with the rest of the gun, are engraved with rose and scroll. The gun has a 15 1/2″ stock which includes a leather covered recoil pad and a vacant gold escutcheon plate.
