SOLD – 12g skeleton action by James MacNaughton – 28″ x 2 1/2″ Damascus barrels

SOLD – Now here is something quite special, and in my opinion the most elegant side-by-side gun ever designed.    This 12g skeleton action by “James McNaughton” was built at the turn of the last century and has 28″ x 2 1/2″ Damascus barrels which were re-nitro proved in London in 2019.  Barrels are choked 1/4 & 5/8, it has a typical pendulum safe and engraving on the action and lock is a fruiting grapevine which flows seamlessly onto the Damascus top rib.   If this wasn’t special enough, it was originally built with MacNaughton’s bow spring ejectors, not having been converted from the coil spring version.  A beautifully figured 15″ stock includes a leather cover pad of around 3/4″ and the gun is presented in its case with trade label.  All in all, everything about it is simply stunning.
