SOLD - 16g hammergun by John Dickson & Son - 28" x 2 1/2" barrels
SOLD – This beautiful hammergun is no 1 of a pair and was built in 1877. Sleeved to a barrel length of 28 1/2″ with 2 1/2″ chambers, the action on this gun is beautifully filed with percussion fences. Engraving style on the action, locks and hammers is fine scroll and there is a number 1 engraved on the underside of the action body. Both hammers are original and the gun will open and close with the right lock cocked. The locks are rebounding and are still clearly in view when cocked. Including a 15 1/4″ replacement, one-piece stock with an “Anson Push-rod” style fore-end, this is a super gun and very well-balanced.
