20g A&D Ejector, by Alex Henry, 28" x 2 1/2" steel barrels
This beautiful 20g, Alex Henry was built circa 1930, and has 28″ x 2 1/2″ steel barrels with a concealed third locking grip. Built on the Argent action, this is the same action on which Martin and Henry built their ribless guns. The top rib reads, ‘Alex Henry and Co, 22 Frederick Street, Edinburgh incorporated with Alex Martin, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Stirling’, ‘Alex Henry & Co’ also appears in a scrolling banner on the action which is engraved with fine scroll and beaded borders along with the cover plate and guard etc. Fitted with an Anson fore-end, Southgate ejectors, a rocker safe and a spindle lever system, the gun has a 14 1/4″ highly figured, one-piece stock incorporating panels and drop points. Retaining a small amount of hardening colour on the action and trigger plate, this gun opens and closes like new.
