20g Sidelock Ejector by Edgar Perks - 29 x 2 3/4" barrels
This beautiful little gun by Edgar Perks was built circa 1945 and is in fabulous condition. The 29” x 2 3/4” steel barrels are choked true cylinder and 1/2, have a third locking grip and still measure the same as the day they were made. Fine acanthus and floral scroll work adorn the action and locks together with a banner engraved with “Edgar Perks”. Original hardening colour covers about 75% of the gun which has a 15 7/8” straight-hand stock, including a recoil pad measuring 1” and there is a vacant rose gold escutcheon plate. A full mechanical overhaul, including furniture polishing and blacking, re-chequering and blueing of the safety button, has been carried out. British-built, sidelock ejector 20gs are pretty scarce, especially those with barrels longer than 28”. As it stands, the gun will easily cope with standard steel cartridges and comes in a stylish oak and leather case.
