SOLD - 9.3x74 A&D Ejector double rifle by John Dickson & Son with 28" barrels
This is a particularly rare double rifle by John Dickson & Son, built on an Anson & Deeley action, circa 1909. It has a rocker safe system and has been re-chambered and proved from .360 to 9.3×74. Bores on the 28″ chopper lump barrels are in lovely condition with a doll’s head locking third grip. It groups well and I have targets demonstrating that and it comes with a Schmidt & Bender 1.5-6×20 scope with quick release mounts. Original hardening colour covers 30% of this rifle and the action, trigger, plate and guard are engraved with fine scroll. The 14 3/4″ stock has never been refinished and has a cheek piece for right-handed shooting, panels to the stock and a steel pistol cap. The fore-end wood is bolstered, has a lever locking system and Deeley box ejectors. They built approximately 20 of these in various calibres. This would make a fabulous wild boar rifle.
