Pair of 12g round actions by John Dickson & Son - 28 x 2 1/2" barrels
These round actions were built in 1930 and are completely original. They have 28″ x 2 1/2″ chopperlump barrels, and 14 1/8″one-piece stocks. The action and lock plates are engraved with fine rose and scroll with ‘Dickson’s Patent’ inlaid in gold on the underside of the action bodies. Both guns have gilded lock work which has been fully overhauled with the furniture polished and blacked. They come in their original velvet lined makers case with outer canvas cover. The No 1 gun has very fine pitting in both bores, the barrel walls on the No 2 gun are down to 19 and 17 thou. Despite having these issues both guns are perfectly shootable the way they are and require no mechanical or cosmetic work. An inexpensive pair of round actions in their stunning makers case with named accessories.
