Pair of 12g sidelock ejectors by William Evans 28 x 2 3/4" barrels
This is the pair of William Evans that I’ve had for about a year and I’ve finally got them finished. They have new 28″ x 2 3/4″ barrels by the makers, re-barreled in 1978. They have 14 1/2″ one piece stocks with toe and heel plates. The guns are engraved with fine rose and scroll and have ribanded fences filed into the balls of the action. We have attended to the following – both guns have had the ribs lifted and re-laid, barrels polished and blacked. The No.1 gun has been rejointed, both guns have been fully overhaul with the furniture blacked and all the pins re-engraved. They were built circa 1895 and come in their oak and leather case with label and charge card. The case has had a new handle fitted and the leather restored. Both guns have excellent wall thicknesses and with the left choke reduced, they will comfortably fire standard steel cartridges.
