Pair of 12g Over & Under by David McKay Brown - 30" x 2 3/4" barrels
This pair of David McKay Brown’s were built 3 years apart, although they are consecutively numbered, the number was reserved. They’re about 10 years old and have fired less than 1,000 shots each. The guns were built for a chap who worked closely with McKay Brown, although bizarrely didn’t shoot. They have 30″ x 2 3/4″ barrels with solid tapering cross-filed ribs and the barrels are fitted with side fins. The action body and locks are engraved with bold acanthus scroll and strap work over a matte background. The no.1 gun has a Labrador engraved on the underside of the action, the no.2 a pointing dog. They have highly figures 15″ pistol grip stocks, hold open top levers. They come in their double motor case, there is also a single case with all the named accessories. With a slight modification to the chokes, these guns will fire standard steel cartridges. A superb and beautifully balanced pair of guns.
