Pair of 12g Round Action by John Dickson & Son 28 x 2 1/2" barrels
This pair of John Dickson lightweights was built in 1937. They are in beautiful condition and are engraved with an Edinburgh street scene, fine rose and scroll and are signed “John Dickson & Son Ltd, Edinburgh” with the word “Patent” inlaid in gold. The 14 5/8″ stocks are well matched and include 1″ of Bakelite. Gilded locks are fitted with intercepting sears, all the screw heads are in perfect condition and the guns retain about 30-40% of their original hardening colour. Barrels are chopper lump and measure 28″ x 2 1/2″ with chokes of 1/2 & full. Although not in their original case, these guns are in an oak and leather case with accessories and a street scene trade label. Incredibly rare guns, I know only of one other pair which are 27″ and one other single gun which is also 27″.
