Pair of 12g sidelock ejectors by James Purdey & Sons - 28" x 2 3/4" barrels
This pair of Purdeys was built circa 1885, are assisted opening and have Purdey’s fine rose and scroll engraving. Both pairs of barrels have been sleeved to 28″ with 2 3/4″ chambers and, unusually, have a third locking grip to the barrels. The number 1 gun is choked 7/8 and full and the no 2 gun 1/4 ad 3/4. Stock lengths are 14 1/2″, which includes a leather covered recoil pad and the no 1 gun has a replacement stock. A super old pair of vintage guns presented in their makers’ case with trade label.
