SOLD - Pair of 20g A&D Ejectors by John Dickson & Son 28" x 2 1/2" barrels
This is a unique opportunity, I believe. This pair of 20g boxlock ejectors by John Dickson & Son are the only ones of this calibre and action type they made and are listed in the records as being ‘best grade’. I have resurrected these guns at great cost, arguably too much, but it was too rare an opportunity to turn down. Built in 1929 with 28″ barrels, the No 1 gun has been sleeved and the No 2 gun has replacement barrels fitted, both engraved with “John Dickson & Son, Edinburgh”. The No 2 gun has been restocked at some point and retains about 50% original hardening colour and the No 1 gun retains about 20%. Engraving style is fine rose and scroll, not dissimilar to the lightweight round action engraving pattern and there are gold numbers 1 & 2 inlaid on the breech ends, top levers and fore-end tips. The guns have full spindle lever systems, rocker safes and Southgate ejectors. Presented in a lightweight motor case with Dickson trade label. These guns with a minor alteration to the no.1 left choke, will be compatible with standard steel cartridges.
