Pair of 20g A&D Ejectors by William Evans 28 x 2 1/2" barrels
These William Evans guns were built circa 1925. “William Evans” is signed on the actions and they are engraved sparsely with panels of scrollwork, border engraving and there is a serpentine fence engraved into the balls of the actions, with a good amount of original colour hardening. 28″ x 2 1/2″ steel barrels have top ribs which read “William Evans, 63 Pall Mall, St James’s, London” and they have well figured 14 3/8″ stocks with panels. Both guns have been fully overhauled, furniture and barrels polished and blacked with the safeties re-chequered and blued. Fitted with the Webley screw grip lever system with a third locking grip, the guns also have Southgate ejectors. All-in-all a good reliable pair of guns in their makers case with trade label.
