SOLD - Pair of exceptionally rare, Kell-engraved, skeleton round actions by James MacNaughton & Sons - 28" x 2 1/2" barrels
SOLD – These magnificent guns were built in the 30s and have 28″ x 2 1/2″ steel barrels with MacNaughton’s fine steel stamp. Engraving on the actions and locks is Kell’s distinctive acanthus scroll with pierced borders. Retaining some original hardening colour, this pair has MacNaughton’s pendulum safe and bow-springed ejector systems. Gold numbers 1 & 2 are inlaid in the fore-end and breech end tips. A full mechanical overhaul and a restoration has been carried out on these guns. They are truly spectacular.
