SOLD - 12g A&D ejector by G E Lewis - 28" x 2 1/2" barrels
SOLD – This G E Lewis boxlock was built circa 1910. Replacement barrels measuring 28″ x 2 1/2″ were fitted by the makers, with a third locking grip, and engraving on the top rib reads “G E Lewis & Sons, 32 & 33 Lower Loveday Street, Birmingham”. A replacement 14 1/2″ well-figured, pistol grip stock and fore-end have also been fitted and the gun has heel and toe plates. Engraving on the action cover plate, guard etc., is a beaded border and the balls of the action are deeply chiselled with ivy leaves in relief. Retaining a bloom of colour hardening, the gun has a full spindle lever system, rocker safe and Southgate ejectors. Although plain, this is an incredibly stylish gun, presented in its case with trade label. This gun will fire standard steel cartridges.
