Graham Mackinlay & Co is a traditional Scottish gun firm, established in 2002 by Graham Mackinlay in Strathleven House, a beautiful Palladian mansion house close to the shores of Loch Lomond in Scotland. The business was previously known as Glasgow Gun Makers from Great Western Road, Glasgow. Graham has always been at the helm and is a fully time-served gunsmith with over 40 years’ experience in the trade.
Our showroom in Strathleven House occupies the largest room in the house on the first floor. Six large windows flood the room with natural light and offer views onto the surrounding landscape where deer and other wildlife can often be spotted.
We specialise in selling best quality, second-hand, side by side British shotguns and rifles with a particular interest in all things Scottish as Graham has become widely recognised over the years as ‘The Scottish Gun Expert’.
Our showroom displays an eclectic range of second-hand, side by side shotguns with something for everyone and is a real Aladdin’s cave for all enthusiasts. We also offer a full renovation and repair service, much of which is carried out in house by Graham. We are happy to tackle anything from a small repair, such as a broken striker, to a full restoration including re-stocking, re-barrelling and generally bringing your gun back to its former glory. Graham only works with the best artisans in the business to ensure quality workmanship is always maintained and guarantees all his work.
Insurance work is welcomed with full reports completed by Graham who is happy to liaise with, and has developed a good relationship with, loss adjusters over the years.
