12g A&D ejector by Westley Richards – 26″ x 2 1/2″ barrels

This Westley Richards is the Heronshaw model.  Barrels measure 26″, choked 1/2 and full, with 2 1/2″ chambers that are clean and bright in the bore.  Being 26″, this gun weighs in at less than 6lbs.  Engraving style on the action, cover plate, guard, etc., is geometric strap work and acanthus scroll.  An original 14 1/2″ Prince of Wales’ stock has panels and drop points, with the butt end finished with a delicate buffalo horn heel plate.  Fitted with Westley’s single selective trigger mechanism, which works extremely positively, it is marked No 2 of a pair and is presented in a case with trade label and named accessories.  Opening and closing beautifully, this gun is exceptionally well-balanced.
