12g sidelock ejector by Edwinson Green & Sons – 29″ x 2 3/4 chopperlump barrels

This Edwinson Green & Sons sidelock is the best I’ve seen.  Engraving style on the action and locks is incredibly fine scroll work, and the locks are pinless.  Chopperlump barrels measure 29″ x 2 3/4″ with “Edwinson Green & Sons, Makers, Gloucester & Cheltenham” engraved on the top rib and the barrel tubes read, “Sir Joseph Whitworth’s fluid pressed Steel”, with the Whitworth trade mark stamped on the underside of the barrels.  Similar to the Boss design, the gun has Chilton locks with intercepting sears. A beautifully fitted buffalo horn extension piece takes the stock measurement to 14 5/8″.  Retaining approximately 60%-70% of original hardening colour, although this is hard to determine in the pictures.  What a beautiful thing, you will be pushed to find a gun with better build quality.   This gun will fire Standard Steel without alteration.
