Left handed 16g sidelock ejector by Cogswell & Harrison
This Cogswell & Harrison was built, circa 1925 and is the extra quality Victor model, its not to be confused with the Cogswell Coil springed ejector system which was problematic, this gun is fitted with Southgate ejectors. The action and locks are engraved with acanthus scroll and floral bouquet engraving. The gun retains about 50% of its original hardening colour, the 14 7/8 straight hand stock is cast for the left shoulder and there is a left hand bias on the strap and trigger blades, the gun has 27 1/2inch barrels with 2 1/2″ chambers with a third concealed fastener. The gun has had a full a mechanical overhaul; and the furniture polished and blacked and the safe re-chequered and blued. All in all a well made 16 bore for a left handed shooter.
