Pair of 12g A&D Ejectors by William Evans 28 x 2 1/2" barrels
This beautiful pair of William Evans box lock ejectors were built circa 1905, they have 28″ x 2 1/2″ steel barrels. The top rib reads ” William Evans (from Purdey’s) 63 Pall Mall, St James’s, London”. The guns are numbered 1 & 2 in gold on the top levers, barrel breach ends and fore-end irons. The actions are signed “William Evans” and are engraved with fine scroll. They are fitted with intercepting sears, Southgate ejectors and a spindle lever system. The guns have 14 3/8″ highly figured one piece stocks with panels and drop points. All-in-all original guns that come in their makers case with accessories. The guns have been restored to very high level; somebody spent a lot money on them.
