Pair 12g sidelock ejectors by Edwinson Green - 29" x 2 3/4" barrels
This is a magnificent pair of Edwinson Green shotguns. Re-proved in London in 1995 to 2 3/4″, they have 29″ chopperlump barrels with the name “Edwinson Green & Sons, makers, Gloucester & Cheltenham (Krupps steel)” engraved on the top ribs. Engraving style on the actions and locks is fine scroll, and the stocks and fore-ends have been replaced and expertly re-stocked with beautifully figured wood measuring 15″ to centre. Numbers 1 and 2 are engraved on the breech ends of the barrels, the tangs of the guards and on the insides of the fore-end irons. Both guns open and close like new, you can still see a touch of original colour, and they are presented in their case with an outer cover. It’s difficult to put into words, but there is something about these guns, and I think if you are looking for a long-barrelled, long-stocked pair of reliable sidelock ejectors, you’ve just found them.
