Pair of 12g sidelock ejectors by Darlow 28 x 2 3/4" barrels
This pair of Darlow sidelocks was built circa 1930 and have 28″ x 2 3/4″ re-proved barrels with a third locking grip. Engraving style is fine rose and scroll with grapevine around the balls of the actions. Gold number 1 and 2 are inlaid in the top lever, barrel breech ends and fore-end tips. Unrestored 14 3/8″ stocks have flat-topped chequering and vacant silver escutcheon plates. Retaining about 30% of their original hardening colour these guns have Holland style locks and Southgate ejectors. Presented in their oak and leather case with Darlow trade label they are suitable for standard steel cartridges. A good reliable pair of guns.
