SOLD - 12g A&D ejector by J D Dougall & Sons - 28" x 2 3/4" barrels
SOLD – This is a 12g A&D ejector by J D Dougall & Sons, built circa 1910, and is No 2 of a pair. Steel barrels measure 28″ and are chambered at 2¾”. Interestingly, the top rib is engraved “J.D. Dougall & Sons, 18 Renfield Street, Glasgow”, an address associated with Ingram and likely reflects the incorporation of Dougall into the Ingram name at around that time. Engraving style on the action, cover plate and guard is scroll engraving and the gun has a Deeley box ejector system, rocker safe, and a full spindle lever mechanism. Stock measures 15⅝”, including a Silver’s recoil pad, and is finely finished with panels and drop points. A nice old gun which would fire standard steel with the chokes reduced.
