SOLD – 12g hammergun by W W Greener – 30″ x 2 3/4″ Damascus barrels

SOLD – This nice old piece has 30″ Damascus barrels, is chambered to 2 3/4″, with the elephant trademark stamped on the barrels and action, and interestingly, both barrels have full choke.  Featuring Greener’s cross-bolt locking system, the top rib extension piece is engraved ‘Greener’s Triple Wedge Fast’, and the top rib is engine turned and reads “W. W. Greener’s Foresters Gun, St Marys Square, Birmingham”.  Border engraving appears on the action body, lock plates and trigger guard with the signature “W. W. Greener” on both lock plates.  Re-bounding locks and the hammers are ornately filed up and in excellent condition without any repaired hammer spurs etc.  The 14 1/8″ stock is pistol gripped with a buffalo horn heel plate and the gun has a Deeley fore-end catch.   Although it’s mainly unengraved, this is an incredibly stylish gun.
