12g Kell-engraved boxlock ejector by John Dickson & Son - 28" x 2 1/2" barrels
This Kell-engraved boxlock was built circa 1923. Steel barrels measure 28″ and were replaced by the makers in 1963, with a concealed third locking grip and Southgate ejectors. Engraving style on the action, cover-plate and guard is Kell’s best bold scroll and pierced strapwork. The replacement stock is highly figured and measures 15 5/8″ with a bolstered fore-end, and the gun is fitted with a full spindle lever system and rocker-safe. It opens and closes like new. Kell-engraved guns are pretty scarce.
