12g ribless A&D ejector by Alex Martin - 26" x 2 1/2" barrels
This is one of Alex Martin’s ribless guns, built in the mid-50s, and is quite likely to have been built by AA Brown. Barrels measure 26″ with 2 1/2″ chambers and the barrel tubes read, “Alex Martin Ltd, 20 Exchange Square, Glasgow”. Engraving style on the action, cover plate and trigger guard etc. is scroll with ‘Alex Martin’ signed in a scrolling banner. Retaining 80% of its original hardening colour, the gun has a full spindle lever system, a roller safe and Southgate ejectors. The straight-hand 14″ well-figured stock has panels and teardrops and includes a buffalo horn heel plate and the gun is presented in a lightweight leather case. This would make a fabulous walked-up gun as it weighs less than 6lbs.
