SOLD – 12g round action by David McKay Brown – 29″ x 2 3/4″ chopperlump barrels

SOLD – This McKay Brown round action was built in 1991 and is in beautiful condition.   The 29″ x 2 3/4″ barrels are chopperlump, and the top rib reads “David McKay Brown (Gunmakers) Ltd, 32 Hamilton Rd, Bothwell”.  A well-fitted, leather, recoil pad is included in the 15″ straight-hand stock which is beautifully figured. Engraving style on the action and locks is McKay Brown’s scroll carried out by Dave Hudson and is described in McKay Brown’s book as “full cover scroll”.  90% of the original hardening colour remains on this gun which also has gilded lock work.  Presented in its lightweight leather case with leather corners and a full set of named accessories made by the legendary Mike Marsh. This gun will fire standard steel cartridges without alteration.
