.375 belted magnum double rifle by Holland & Holland with 25" barrels
This beautiful rifle by Holland & Holland is a Royal Deluxe. Mythical beasts, serpents and bold acanthus scrollwork are engraved on the bolstered action, along with the grotesque mask engraved on the underside of the action and pistol cap. With a rolled edged trigger guard and articulated front trigger, the rifle retains the majority of its original finish and, unusually, bears an ivory escutcheon plate. The chopper lump barrels are 25″ and have a standing sight at 300 yards and a leaf sight at 350 yards with an optional hinged moon sight. Engraving on the barrels reads, “Holland & Holland, 98 New Bond Street, London”, on the top rib reads, “.375 magnum belted cartridge” and on the lower rib “Modele De Luxe”. The rifle comes in its case with trade label, charge card and accessories. It might be the most spectacular double I’ve seen.
