.450 double rifle by Charles Ingram with 28" barrels
This Charles Ingram .450 double rifle was built circa 1885 and has 28″ barrels and a flat cross-filed rib with sights standing 100 and two leaf sights of 200 & 300 yards. It has a Jones underlever with bolted back action rebounding locks which are signed “C Ingram”. Engraving on the action and locks, etc. is fine scroll and the gun retains traces of hardening colour. Pistol grip stock length is 14 3/8″ and it has a steel pistol cap and a beautifully shaped cheek piece. A leather latch holds the fore-end. All-in-all the rifle is in beautiful condition and comes with loading gear, cases, etc. in an oak and leather Ingram rifle case.
