.450 double rifle by Charles Ingram with 28" barrels
This Charles Ingram .450 double rifle with 28″ barrels with a flat cross-filed rib with sights standing 100 and two leaf sights of 200 & 300 yards was built circa 1885. It has a Jones underlever with bolted back action rebounding locks which are signed “C Ingram”. The action and locks, etc. are engraved with fine scroll and retain traces of hardening colour. The 14 3/8″ pistol grip stock has a steel pistol cap and a beautifully shaped cheek piece. The fore-end is held by a leather latch. All-in-all the rifle is in beautiful condition and comes with loading gear, cases, etc. in an oak and leather Ingram rifle case.
