Left handed 16g sidelock ejector by Cogswell & Harrison - 27 1/2inch barrels with 2 1/2" barrels
This Cogswell & Harrison was built, circa 1925 and is the extra quality Victor model. It’s not to be confused with the Cogswell’s coil-springed ejector system which was problematic – this gun is fitted with Southgate ejectors. Barrels, which have a third concealed fastener, measure 27 1/2″ with 2 1/2″ chambers. Engraving style on the action and locks is acanthus scroll and floral bouquet and the gun retains about 50% of its original hardening colour. The 14 7/8 straight hand stock is cast for the left shoulder and there is a left hand bias on the strap and trigger blades. A full mechanical overhaul has been carried out, including polishing and blacking the furniture and re-chequering and blueing the safety button. All in all a well made 16 bore for a left handed shooter.
