12g A&D ejector by John Wilkes - 28" x 2 1/2" barrels
This is one of Wilkes’ best boxlocks, which is likely to have been built in the 50s. Fitted with 28 x 2 ½” steel barrels, choked improved cylinder and 3/8, engraving style on the scroll-backed action is fine rose and scroll with both trigger blades chequered. Retaining a nice bloom of original hardening colour, the gun features a full spindle lever system and Southgate ejectors. The 14 5/8″ straight hand stock has panels and drop points, and the fore-end wood is bolstered. Presented in a John Wilkes’ brass-bound leather case with some accessories.
