12g sidelock ejector by Cogswell & Harrison - 30" x 2 1/2" steel barrels
This Cogswell sidelock was built in 1913, and is the Tower model. 30″ x 2 1/2″ steel barrels are made of compressed Arcus steel and the engraving style is bold acanthus scroll throughout. Retaining about 70% of its original hardening colour, the stock length is 14 15/16″ to centre and it has approximately 3/4″ cast off. The bend measurement is low, 1 3/4″ and 2 1/2″, and the gun is presented in its maker’s case with accessories. There is a certificate of origin from Cogswell & Harrison with this gun, stating that when bought, the gun cost 52 pounds 10 shillings—a super old gun in totally original condition.
