12g round action by J Dickson & Son – 29″ x 2 1/2″ barrels

This Dickson round action was completed on the 27th July 1897 and is No. 2 of a pair.  Sleeved barrels measure 29″ with 2 1/2″ chambers.  Engraving style on the action and lock is fine scroll and pierced strapwork by Sumner, and quite unusually, the action face has gas checks.  The beautifully figured stock measures 14 5/8″, including a well-matched wooden extension piece.  All in all, another spectacular gun from Edinburgh, which will fire standard steel with altered chokes.
