12g Round Action by John Dickson & Son - 29 x 2 1/2" barrels
This John Dickson round action was built in 1920 to match a gun built in 1913, which explains the earlier style of bold acanthus engraving on the action and lock plate. The mechanism is gilded and the action is signed “John Dickson & Son” within a cartouche. Screw heads, etc. are all in good condition and the 29″ barrels have just been polished and blacked. The 15″ stock previously had a fair amount of cast off but has been straightened to approximately 3/8″ cast off, however the gun will be fitted to the new owner’s measurements. Pictures include the gun disassembled and completely overhauled.
