Pair of 12g sidelock ejectors by E J Churchill - 25" x 2 3/4" chopperlump barrels
These Churchill Premiers were built circa 1927 and are standard opening. Chopperlump barrels measure 25″ with Churchill’s raised quick sighting top rib. Engraving on the pinless locks is incredibly fine scroll work and the words, “The Premier quality” are inlaid in gold on the underside of the actions. Both guns have had new stocks and fore-ends expertly fitted to a length of 15″, and they are presented in their original VC leather case. These guns have undergone a full mechanical overhaul, with the barrels blacked and the No. 1 gun re-jointed. The No. 2 gun was re-barrelled by the makers in the 70s, also with chopperlump barrels, and this gun is chambered to 2 3/4”. Outstanding build quality.
