12g sidelock ejector by C S Rosson & Co – 27″ x 2 1/2″ barrels

This truly is a spectacular, Rosson shotgun in original condition.  Built circa 1930, it has been in one family from new.  Steel barrels measure 27″x 2 1/2″ with a fabulous address on the top rib,  “C S Rosson & Co, Rampant Horse Street, Norwich”.  With  the Southgate ejector system, the action and locks are engraved with fine scroll, including a grey partridge on the underside of the action.  The 14 1/2″ straight-hand stock has a slight diamond grip and has never been re-chequered or oil finished.  Presented in its original, lightweight case with trade label.   Weighing only 6lbs 3oz, this gun would make a great woodcock/grouse gun for somebody.
