12g sidelock ejector by James Purdey & Sons – 28″ x 2 1/2″ barrels

This sidelock ejector, assisted-opening gun was built circa 1897 and has replacement 28″ chopperlump barrels by Purdey, choked 1/4 and 1/2.   Engraving style on the action and locks is Purdey’s fine rose and scroll and the replacement, one-piece 14 1/2″ stock is highly-figured.  All in all, a super gun, presented in an oak and leather case, which will fire standard steel without any alteration.
